Antipsychotic Chronic Treatment in Early Bipolar Disorder: Why Should Be Suggested

Bipolar disorders in young patients often start with psychotic symptoms and the psychopharmacological approach suggest to use antipsychotic medications. It is well known that antipsychotic may induce depressogenic effect but also a good anti-excitative and antipsychotic prophylactic effect. This speech aims to describe the correct use of antipsychotic medications in bipolar first epysode patients in order to suggest clinical guidelines.
